  • Thank you for this post. Please don't imagine that our little dust-up was "the reason" for my deciding to drop off NV. My problem was not so much with you as with NV's decision. That decision was "logical" within NV's logic, and I am not one to argue with the proprietor!

  • I just took a look at the McCann petition. It doesn't address the fundamental problem that I see with NV, the acceptance of garbage posts as long as they contain no direct insults to another NVer. NV has made the choice of defending form rather than content.

  • I haven't posted to NV for a week, while mulling over this decision. It has been hard to stay away! Over three years of fairly constant participation makes for a powerful habit. Then again... there are lots of habits that are bad for us! ;-))

  • Grisham, Noah's flood CAN be put to the scientific test for example. Yes. And like all scientific testing, this one would (or would not) find what it is looking for... depending on the definition of that object!
